Sandy HooK Shoot Out: Their falsehoods and Ours.

A school in Newtown, Connecticut, was witness last Friday to yet another horrific shoot-out. A shoot out that claimed 20 innocent children and 7 adults. A young man aged 20 was identified as perpetrator. Descriptions of him went like “kept to himself”, a “loner:, an “autistic” person, or had a history of “mental health issues”. Such horrific tragedies are not stranger to USA, and nor are equally horrific routine diagnoses of them. The first is a symptom of what is ailing society, the next is an attempt to quarantine that symptom, sequester it to insane fringe permanently. If it can be blamed on a “lunatic”, then it saves the sanity of others. Media has been putting up this façade for long, but gaping holes are showing up every where.
Before one delves into the causes, one simple issue needs to be understood and driven to the core of the debate. Do guns cause violence? May be, or perhaps, may not! Roughly around the same time that the shoot out at New Town school took place, in an another school in distant China someone attacked with a chopper to hurt some 23 students. One need not imagine what bloody havoc the attacker in China with free access like in USA to assault weapons would have accomplished. Will men turn violent were all weapons to disappear? Sure! But with paucity of tools their violent intent would that much less translate into blood and gore. May be that is why even with such a laissez-faire gun culture, US doesn’t allow free access to weapons of mass destruction, even to its background checked “sane” and “responsible” citizens. That is firmly a State monopoly.
Research and statistics too don’t back up “Insanity to Shoot out” prognosis. There are 89 firearms owned for every 100 US citizens. USAToday.Com reported that portion of those who own arms has declined from 29% in 1980 to about 21% in 2010 [General Social Survey, National Opinion Research Center, University of Chicago], but some 20% of them [or 4.2% of population] own over 65% of those firearms. That gives an incredible concentration of 14 firearms on an average per person among some 13 million US citizens. +Jeffrey Young for Huffington Post reported that this gun culture accounts for some 30,000 lives annually, some 298,000 gunshot causalities between 2000-2009. But epidemiological evidence has it that only 4% of violence in USA could be put down to people with mental illness. ^^One of the largest studies, the National Institute of Mental Health’s Epidemiologic Catchment Area study, which followed nearly 18,000 subjects, found that the lifetime prevalence of violence among people with serious mental illness — like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder — was 16 percent, compared with 7 percent among people without any mental disorder. Anxiety disorders, in contrast, do not seem to increase the risk at all. Alcohol and drug abuse are far more likely to result in violent behavior than mental illness by itself^^, says a doctor, Richard A Friedman, In Gun Debate, a Misguided Focus on Mental Illness. Mass murders, ghastly as they are, tend to be mercifully rarer. Mentally ill people contribute in only 1 out of every 25 cases of firearms related violence. Therefore, overwhelming bulk of that violence comes from “sane” and “responsible” US citizens, who have easy access to firearms and are exposed constantly to culture of violence.
The birthplace of violence is the mind. One has to hate someone or to lust for her or his possessions so intensely as to destroy them. Next, that hatred has to act out its dance of death. If the weapons that can aid that dance are inaccessible or difficult to access, then anyone would agree death would be handicapped severely in *his* dance. Culture or ideology of violence that holds human life in contempt is surely the root of evil, but before that evil could be exorcised, should farewell to arms be postponed? There are those who hold right to bear arms enshrined by way of second amendment in US constitution as sacrosanct, equal to free speech or liberty, or even better. Their argument goes that right to bear arms was an insurance against the tyranny of the state. Right to bear arms so to say underwrites other Rights. Such position may make for brawny debating points, but little else. When even those US citizens, who show otherwise rare sensitivity to the wanton murders of children, women, or unarmed innocent civilians by US war machine globally or to those who die a painful death by administration’s sanctions and embargoes, support right to bear arms; one begins to appreciate the huge passions this issue arouses. InfoWars.Com or feature alternate media crusader Alex Jones , who is supposed to nail lies of establishment or to discover story underneath, but he too rants about Globalists or Collectivists that are out to take over USA through their sinister plan of imposing gun control, the second amendment notwithstanding. The heat he generates is to be seen to be believed.

+Gordon Duff is described as ^^a Marine Vietnam veteran, a combat infantryman, and Senior Editor at Veterans Today. His career has included extensive experience in international banking along with such diverse areas as consulting on counter insurgency, defense technologies or acting as diplomatic representative for UN humanitarian and economic development efforts^^. These are impressive credentials indeed. In his column syndicated on PressTV.Com he begins by saying, ^^Today, Michael Harris, former Republican candidate for governor of Arizona and GOP campaign finance chairman, in an internationally televised news broadcast, cited “Israeli revenge” in, what he called, “the terrorist attack in Connecticut.” Harris cited Israeli “rage” against the US and against President Barack Obama. By “Israel,” we mean “Netanyahu”^^. After highlighting this explosive accusation, Duff then settles down into raising some legitimate questions about the official story so far about the horrific shoot out. ^^According to the official story, Adam Lanza was wearing a black outfit with a mask and bulletproof vest. Why would he want to hide his identity, and why would he wear a bulletproof vest if he planned to kill himself? The medical examiner asserts that all wounds were caused by a rifle or other long weapon, and police/FBI say that the school was littered with 223 (rifle) casings. However, Adam Lanza was found dead at the school with only handguns – a rifle was found in the trunk of his car. Then he could not have possibly been firing the rifle, and could not have committed the murders. Who did then? ^^.  These are very serious doubts that need serious answers. Then he raises some 16 other issues or what he himself calls “irregularities” and asserts they are but a small percentage of the total. These irregularities, if true, do cast a lengthening shadow on the official version of “lone, deranged, gunman”- the usual stuff dished out to credulous viewers knocked senseless by the horror of it all. But by no stretch of imagination or liberal interpretation do they prove the “allegation” of Harris that an Israeli hit squad was involved. That is not to say an Israeli hit squad was not involved [but, Absence of Proof is not Proof of Presence].   Duff ends his column with a rhetorical finish, which he hopes would be a clincher, ^^Moments ago, Harris phoned me. I asked him if, hours later, he was still willing to back up his statements. His answer was simple: “You murder children as part of ‘business as usual,’ you shouldn’t be surprised that when children are murdered, people look to you^^. I have never before seen such a tight tautological loop proffered as proof.

Since Harris had made his claims, Duff said, at an internationally televised broadcast, I set Google on the job to search that internationally televised broadcast. Google returned with single, poor 2 minute clip. That was a pathetic show for an “internationally televised broadcast”. I suspected the worse- a conspiracy of establishment to suppress inconvenient truth. The claim was explosive, but the source looked mainstream. Michael Harris was after all described by Duff as former Republican Candidate for governor of Arizona and GOP campaign finance Chairman. One cannot get a higher pedigree establishment-man than that. Can one? If he was making these accusations, then surely there was something to it. Persistent efforts paid off finally, and I was able to locate the panel discussion on PressTV.Ir for which the miserly clip was uploaded to You Tube. On PressTV, Michael Harris was described as Finance Editor of Veterans Today. Now, wait a minute. Isn’t Duff Senior Editor with the very same outfit -Veterans Today? Yes, he is. But not a word of it in his column. Duff has taken the “allegations” made by his colleague at Veterans Today, Harris, and used it as a “foundational fact” for his column, and lent it credence by saying it was revealed at an internationally televised broadcast. This is exactly how establishment works. Had such a story been put out with a slight variation – Iranian rather than Israeli hit squad behind the school shoot out- then that story would have gone viral in a blink of an eye; and would have saturated airwaves and cyber space through endless replays on international news channels. It would have provided a “perfect” pretext for US war machine to attack Iran with outraged public support right behind it. The way 9/11 did. This is how establishment manipulates subjects. But “reverse manipulation” would end in abject failure as it did here without the massive clout of establishment to back it. Faster this is learnt by those who attempt it would be better for us, the masses. Otherwise, people will refuse to believe when truth is staring in the face. Establishment relies on falsehoods, people should rely on facts.

The panel discussion on PressTV.Com is otherwise an excellent exposition of issues surrounding the right to bear the arms versus the gun and violence culture that has engulfed US society. It is a must see program, especially the fact based views of +Don DeBar. I have uploaded the program to You Tube here.

Sandy Hook Reference In Batman: Dark Knight Rises Movie. After all the weird coincidences with the Colorado Movie Theater “incident” and Batman… Now check this out.In this movie scene from Dark Knight Rises, “Sandy Hook” is about the only legible text on the whole map, and a guy puts his fingers on it. Someone in another thread says the dialogue at this point i “There are no coincidences.”

  2. Sadanand Patwardhan Says:

I have not seen the movie or have access to it. Therefore, I could not verify if the above claim is true. I still let it pass in the hope someone will check and report if it is true. And even if it is, at most it provides a clue to how minutely some people can observe and dissect things.Sadanand
